Audrey is 1 today!!

I have heartburn just thinking about it but yes it is true. My little angel is 1.
I threw a little impromptu party tonight with some friends. I made hambugers and homemade fries and brownies that really sucked. It was a lot of fun! Saturday is her big party. Friday is a busy day we are going to her 1 year check up and she is getting pictures done!!

Just can't get enough

Today Troy and I had our presentation about stress management and wellness! We were playing 2 games so I made cupcakes to handout to the class for participating! I made neopolitan inspired flower cupcakes. Strawberry cupcake, a dab of chocolate frosting which was the center of the flower and yellow dyed vanilla frosting as the petals!

Sunflower Cupcakes for Mothers Day

When Nathan was over in Eastern Washington he bought me this really fun cupcake book. When I saw the sunflower cupcakes I said to myself, "Now those are adorable, im making those for Mothers Day." They are better then flowers that die, they are flowers you can eat! They turned out adorable. I left off the leaves because I didn't feel like making them! I didn't start on them until midnight on Saturday after Audrey fell asleep!

2 weeks until Audrey is 1

I can't believe it either. It is crazy to think that my little angel with be 1 in less then 2 weeks. The party preparations will be in full swing here in a few days. I feel like I still have so much to do but that is because I do. I still have to finish getting decorations and utensils, put together her well wish tree and help Megan put together the grab bags! I decided not to make Audrey a monkey cake. I am going with a few cupcakes in the shape of a monkey! I am really excited and looking forward to watching her dig into her cake! This was the other day after dinner and a bath. We bought her new pj's, she is wearing 12 month clothes now even though they are a little big.I think she looks adorable!

All you need is one pot!

I had company over the other day since I was beyond bored and lonely since Nathan left for 10 days. My best friend Megan came over for some what we call adult time! She brought me vodka and I made this beauty!Beef Roast with red potatoes and veggies!
I made this in one baking dish after searing all sides of the roast until golden brown.I seasone the meat with these ingrediants! I use them pretty much with everything, you just can't go wrong. I baked the roast alone in a little beef broth for about 25 minutes at 450 degrees. I then added the potatoes, onion, garlic, broccoli and corn. I lightly seasoned them with salt, pepper and ground mustard and put it all back in the oven for about an hour.I am not used to beef so I was not all that happy with the flavor of the meat, I would prefer pork roast instead but for tense and purposes it was delicious. Searing in the flavor of your seasoning really makes a difference!

Cute quick project

I find myself having less and less time to do the things that I truly love like cooking, baking and doing projects. I did find some time to put together this cute little project. We have been having some trouble in the house lately with knowing if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty since we switch off loading and unloading the washer. So I decided to make little magnets that go on the front of the dishwasher to let the other one know if they are clean or dirty. Today is day 2 but it working out well.
