What are my chances?

I admit it, I caved. We bought our first lottery ticket yesterday in hopes of winning the $640 million prize.
Can you imagine all the amazing things you could do with that kind of money? I can :)
Sadly, we didn't win but it was fun while it lasted.

That was about all our excitement for the day. Our Friday was pretty uneventful. We got a pizza and watched a movie. I was supposed to go to Seattle but that fell through. The best part of my night was spending it with my favorite little girl!

I officially started my last quarter in college yesterday. My last class is Elementary Math for Business and Finance. I can't believe I am graduating in June, it has been long awaited.

This weekend is a girls weekend and I am looking forward to spending some good quality time with my best friends. We are going to see The Hunger Games on Saturday morning....FINALLY. I loved the books.

Not so little anymore

My wonderful, funny, sweet and beautiful 8 year step-daughter turns 9 on Friday the 30th.
I remember when she had just turned 4 back in 2007. That was the first time I met her.
She will be in Hawaii for her 9th Birthday with her Mom so we celebrated a week early.
We spent the afternoon at Odessy 1 letting the kids run a muck.
Hayley and her best friend Penelope up high in the jungle gym. So cute!
After a few hours at the mother of all kid zones we headed to my in laws for presents, pizza and pie!
We had so much fun and I can't believe that the little girl I have grown to adore and love more then anything has grown up so quickly.

I heart Potterybarn

Becuase they sell cute things like this
My in laws gave this to us as a "just because"
It is engraved with the words
"Family is belonging to and believing in each other"
Just thought I would share!

Monday Funday

Monday's are always busy because I get off at 2pm, Nathan starts work at 2pm and Audrey has OT at 3pm.
Normally Audrey and I come straight home after her appointment for a quick nap before Nathan gets home from work a few hours later but today we chose to go shopping. We decided on TJMAXX.
I got everything for 50% and spent only $44 on all my loot! Check it out
2 Tommy Hilfiger decorative towels for the bathroom $6.99 each normally $12.99
2 Summer outfits for Audrey. The outfit on the left is Carter's brand normally $24, I paid $9.99. The one on the right is Lydia Jane normally $22.00, I paid $14.99!
Shaw! Lydia Jane always has really adorable clothes for girls! I am a sucker for kids clothes.
Not bad right? Not pictured is the small DKNY hand towel. I paid $3.99 which is normally $7.00.

Other then work, Audrey's appointment and shopping I made some really delicious Raspberry Honey Pork Chops. They were so good. Ill post the recipe tomorrow!

Crafty

Last weekend our 8 year old had a slumber party with her best friend Penelope.
To keep them busy and entertained they made homemade jellyfish to hang from the ceiling in their bedroom.
I got the idea from Pinterest of coarse. Here is the original inspiration.
And here are the ones the girls made hanging from the ceiling! They look so great!

All right folks

I am back! Woohoo. Life has been so crazy busy lately that I just have had no time to blog. So here we go with the massive updates.

This past Tuesday, this beautiful lady, my girlfriend Stephanie and I
went to see the amazing Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Thompson Squared.
The concert was probably the best one I have ever been to. It was worth only getting a few hours of sleep and going to work a zombie the next morning! Thank you Steph!!

Have I ever mentioned that I have crazy fun friends? In february my girlfriend Robyn had her birthday celebration at the Ram in Kent and at some random point we decided to draw mustaches on our fingers and have a photo shoot!
Here is the out come, we are so crazy

We have doing a little redecorating around the house, spring cleaning, all that fun stuff. Our first major change was the big wall in the living room.
Before
and after
We really love how it turned out and we plan on adding pictures here and there as our family grows.
Now we can move on to food but that comes in a new post :)
