We just got home from Mary Bridge Children Hospital and the news is GREAT!!! Audrey DOES NOT need surgery. She does not have crainiosynostosis and her soft spot is open. We checked in and were taken back right away. Audrey is 11 pounds 12 ounces already that's 5 ounces bigger in 2 days by the way!!! After the nurse finalized checking her in the specialist came into the room and did an exam on her skull and after a few minutes broke the good news!!! He said that she does have Plagiocephaly which just means that she favors to sleep on the right side of her head which causes it to be flat in the back and in the front. He has referred us to a physical therapist to learn some tips on how to move her away from her bad habit! I can not tell you how stressed I have been the last 2 weeks and how many times I have cried thinking about possible surgery and all the doctor appointments she might have! I am so relieved and excited that she is perfectly okay. This deform does not interfere with anything that has to do with her physio growth!! That is 1 problem down 1 to go. I have to go in at the end of the month to see the GI doctor for her constipation. Today is a great day!! Happy Hump Day!!
